We're glad you asked. Just before VEIA Supplies launched, a final meeting discussed traction, a core piece of gear we set out to improve in every aspect. After many prototypes, this meeting sealed JJF's 'stomp' of approval based on feel, weight, grip, fit and one last feature crucial to John, the PowerPocket.

It's the space between your pads tail block and arch where you back foot naturally locks in for ultra high-performance surfing. One you feel it, you won't forget it. It was also JJF's secret weapon to the 'World Title Winning Turn' made at the WSL finals in San Clemente back in 2024.

The term 'PowerPocket' was tossed around somewhat jokingly, but much like its pupose, it stuck.
We chopped 6mm off the arch bar and moved it up, creating a 74mm gap between the tail block and arch, a space that provides a naturally locked in feel for your back foot.
Developed and integrated throughout our JJF Pro Traction line, the PowerPocket became a key component to what John called his "best pad yet".

John's statement rang true in that 2024 WSL Final at Lowers when his back foot locked into the PowerPockey, stomping his 'World Title Winning Turn' to bring his 3rd World Title home to Hawaii.
